The Oldham Hulme curriculum for the 11-16 age group strikes a balance between academic and practical subjects, between compulsory core subjects and optional courses, and between depth and breadth. The curriculum for years 7-9 lays the foundation of skills and understanding needed for GCSE courses. In years 10-11 GCSE courses are pursued, with succesful outcomes being paramount. We also aim to engage and inspire pupils, as well developing them as individuals both socially and culturally. We have in recent years moved to a common curriculum, under which boys and girls enjoy the same educational opportunities.
